Important Announcement regarding Entry Visa to Lebanon

All applicants for entry Visa to Lebanon are kindly requested to submit two copies of the Visa Application form and required documents, the submitted personal photos should be passport size and in color.

The Lebanese Embassy in Cairo wishes to inform all applicants that the period for Visa approval is one whole month from the application date.

Egyptian Citizens in possession of two thousands US Dollars and a hotel reservation can directly apply for the entry Visa in Beirut Airport, however this shall be at their own responsibility.


A. Entry visa for Egyptian nationals

To get an entry visa you can either

  1. Apply through the Embassy of Lebanon in Cairo or the consulate general of Lebanon in Alexandria.
  2. Or obtain the visa at Beirut Airport.

Important note: The Embassy shall not grant visas if an Israeli visa is stamped on the passport or the travel document.

1. Visa issued by the embassy

The visa to enter Lebanon is valid for 90 days starting from the date of issuance, for a period of 15 days or a month or three months or 6 months. The stay period is effective from the date of entry to Lebanon.

Types of visas and fees

  • Single trip Visa: 525L.E
  • Double entry Visa: 750 L.E
  • Multiple entry Visa: 1050 L.E


Required documents

  1. Fill an application form (download application here)
  2. Original Passport and a copy of it.
  3. Personal photo.
  4. Letter from the company or sponsor stating the salary and job description of the applicant (HR Letter)
  5. Bank statement.
  6. CR and tax card for businessmen and self-employed.
  7. Hotel reservation or an invitation from a Lebanese person and a copy of his passport and his full address in Lebanon.
  8. An invitation from the host (company, association, ministry, etc) if the visit is for work or to attend a conference or seminar or training session.
  9. In case of travel of maids accompanying the traveler, the applicant should submit a written statement pledging the return of his maid upon his departure.
  10. A signed statement from the husband of a Lebanese woman permitting for the children to travel with their mother.

Note: Embassy reserves the right to accept or refuse any request for a visa.         

Visa requires the approval of the general Lebanese directorate of General security during the period ranging between three and five days.

2. Visa upon arrival at Beirut Airport

Visas can be obtained at Beirut airport valid for one month extendable up to three months for Egyptian nationals and other nationals of the following Arab countries:

Sudan - Tunisia - Morocco - Algeria - Libya - Somalia - Djibouti - Mauritania - Comoros - Iraq, Under these conditions:

  1. Fill an application form.
  2. Original passport and a copy of it.
  3. Personal photo.
  4. Round-trip ticket non-refundable.
  5. Hotel reservation or a private address with a phone number.
  6. Cash amount of two thousand dollars or a certified check with the same value.
  7. Visa fee 17$ for single entry visa.

Note: Lebanese authority at Beirut airport reserves the right to accept or refuse any request for a visa.

B. Entry visa for diplomatic/special passports and members of international organizations

Holders of diplomatic / special and International Organizations passports shall be granted a courtesy entry visa to Lebanon free of charge, the issuance of the visa require 48 hours to be processed.

Required Documents:

1. The Visa Application Form. (download application here)

2. Verbal Note from the Embassy or the Organization.

3. One Personal Photo.

4. Colored copy of the Passport.     

Note: The following applicants can be granted free visa of charge at the airport and border posts valid, up to six months and multiple entries.

  1.  Arab and foreign diplomats.
  2.  Domestic helpers traveling with diplomats appointed in  Lebanon provided they are listed in the diplomat traveler’s  passport.
